In case you haven’t heard, we’re phasing out version 2 of the App47 App Store.
As we’ve continued updating V3, we’ve seen more divergence between the two versions. Ultimately, we plan to phase out version 2 of our App Store early next year.
The last couple of weeks, we’ve spent some time taking a closer look at V3 and outlining some of the many reasons we think you’ll want to upgrade. Chief among them: greater security. V3 started as an update to the UI, but evolved to include new features to manage deployments; different ways to mange user, device, and app privileges (as well as revoke them under a wider variety of automated circumstances); and new options for users to self-service rather than always immediately contacting an administrator.
Of course, the UI updates are nothing to scoff at. V3 of the App47 App Store is eminently customizable, easy to navigate, and more seamless than ever to onboard new users to. All in all, we’re extremely happy with the features offered in V3, and have heard great things from our customers who have already migrated over.
If you’re reading all of this and wondering how you can migrate from V2 to V3, thankfully, it’s very easy. We published a migration guide just last week, and of course would be happy to talk you through the entire process if you have any questions.
At this point, we recommend that all of our customers start the process of upgrading to V3 of the App47 App Store. Heightened security features, better user experience, and best of all, no additional cost. What’s not to like?
