For today’s podcast, App47 CTO Andy Glover sat down with Kinvey CTO Morgan Bickle to talk about Backend as a Service, better knows as BaaS. True to form, Andy wastes zero time in asking Morgan just what the heck that is.
The answer, of course, requires a bit of backstory. Morgan explains how mobile developers have, until now, had two options when it comes to building a backend: IS or Platform as a Service (PaaS). Both had challenges, as in either biting off more than you needed to chew for the former, or being restricted to Ruby with the latter.
