First, the earth cooled . . . and then there were enterprise mobile apps.
Okay, there’s more to it than that, and getting granular on the features and issues solved by Mobile Application Management is going to be our mission for the rest of the summer (and on through fall, maybe winter).
You’ve heard us say again and again that the launch of an app isn’t a conclusion. It represents the beginning of real app management. From those early cocktail-napkin sketches to app store distribution to ongoing user optimization, MAM is a continuum consisting of distinct phases, each demanding dedicated expertise.
We’re going to be dissecting each of those phases in the weeks ahead, in posts and podcasts, to reveal the inner workings we combine to ensure great UX and deliver that all-important ROI.
Topics will include:
- Application security
- Managing app versions and updates
- Building/maintaining an enterprise app store
- App configuration
- Mobile app Performance management
- Analytics (including ROI measurement, hourly analytics, and analytics by dimension)
- AD/LDAP Integration
- Volume App Purchase & Distribution (VPP)
We’re also taking requests, so if there’s a specific aspect of MAM you want us to discuss in detail, post a comment or shoot us a note. We’ll work it into the lineup.
