This past week I spent a few days at the AlwaysOn OnMobile 2011 conference in Redwood City, CA. I participated on a panel “How Tablet and Phone Apps Will revolutionize the Enterprise,” with other great panelists from Expensify, Emergence Capital, BoxTone, Bridge Bank.  I also had the opportunity to give an 8-minute presentation on App47 – think corporate “speed dating.”  The conference brought together some of the best mobile companies and VCs to talk about trends, strategies, and hear some great keynote speakers.

To summarize – mobile ads revenue is accelerating at a supersonic pace (just in the past 12 months), social is the name of the game (including social commerce), App marketplaces are gaining traction, and enterprises are all-in on mobility.

There’s a lot of blue sky in mobility and almost no limit on how to capitalize on the wave.  In other words, mobile is hot, hot, hot.  But I didn’t have to tell you that.

This was one of our first public events since we emerged from stealth mode two weeks ago and I’m as excited as I ever have been.  The center of mobility is the App and our solution to help enterprises deliver excellent App user experience by simplifying management – all through the cloud – was met with awesome enthusiasm.  I was so jazzed I couldn’t sleep on the red-eye home, or maybe it was the guy next to me who was snoring before we lifted off…

Kudos to Tony Perkins and the entire AlwaysOn team for another great show.
