Today, we’re proud to announce the official release of App47 Developer Edition, an absolutely free platform that gives every company the ability to deploy and manage its own app store. Now, you can create and manage your own custom-selected suite of mobile applications — and it doesn’t cost a dime.
Why give everyone a free app store? You can get specifics here, but the major justification was nicely articulated by our friend, enterprise mobility thought leader Philippe Winthrop, managing director of the Enterprise Mobility Foundation, who said, “the enterprise app store is just one, albeit a vital, facet of an over-arching mobile application management strategy.”
We think his observation speaks to an emerging trend in application management, and one that App47 is working to cultivate: an expanded field of vision that encompasses the complete enterprise mobile application lifecycle.
